MEET CHRISTINE

President and Founder of Firefly Public Relations

Throughout her two decades in public relations, Christine Czernejewski has counseled principals and CEOs at the highest levels of government, philanthropy, business and the nonprofit sector.

She worked for a decade in Washington, DC where she served in press secretary roles on Capitol Hill and in the executive branch. Christine handled the media response to high profile events at the US Small Business Administration, including in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the 2008 economic crisis. While serving on the Hill, she provided counsel and communications to a key member of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction throughout the committee’s negotiations.

Additionally, Christine understands state and local political and policy landscapes, having served as communications director in the Wisconsin Assembly Speaker’s Office and on a competitive Congressional campaign. She started her career as a producer, reporter, and anchor in Northwest Wisconsin.

Christine’s work has been published in numerous publications, including The Hill, National Review, The Washington Examiner, Fox News, RealClear Markets and The Washington Times. In 2022, she won the Cicero Speechwriting Award in the non-profit category.

Christine serves on the boards of America’s Future and The Wisconsin Forum, is a member of The Philadelphia Society, has run nine marathons and is a two-time Boston Marathon finisher. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Christine lives in Wauwatosa, WI with her two amazing daughters and lovable pup.
